Mexican Migrant saves lost boy in desert

Filed under: News — tzotziyolotl @ 1:05 pm

Jesus Manuel Cordova,26, from Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Mexico was walking into Aztlan on Thanksgiving Day when he came across a wandering 9 year old boy. The boy had been camping with his mother when their minivan slid off the road and over a cliff. The woman was trapped in the wreckage, but her son freed himself to go look for help. That is when Jesus Cordova found him scared and disoriented. They went back to the vehicle but were unable to free the mother. She later died. The area was off a forest service road and nightfall prevented them from finding any assistance. Jesus made a bonfire and gave the boy his jacket. In the morning they came across a group of hunters and the authorities were called. When Santa Cruz County Sheriff Dept. and U.S. Border Patrol arrived the boy was taken to the hospital and Jesus was deported. (Click azstarnet for the whole story)
